This is a complete Rostra cruise control kit for the 1988-2011 Ford Ranger. Applicable to automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Kit includes vehicle specific wiring information as well as universal installation instructions. Wiring information for exact year and engine sizes included. Please call with any questions regarding this complete cruise control kit. Installation of the "optional" clutch disengagement switch is difficult and very time consuming. We would only recommend installing the clutch switch for the VERY experienced installers.

Quality parts
The instructions which included specific wire colours for the Ranger are great. The details for connecting the servo to the throttle body are confusing. I mixed and matched and got it to work but took some thinking. The steering column control works well but good be improved with buttons that have a detent to indicate positive actuation. Technical support was excellent and the unit works superb !

There is some figuring out that happens, but once I got it installed it seems to work as described. Overall I'm happy with it

Very glad I got this one
I purchased this cruise control after reading other reviews. I am so glad I did. Easy to install, technical support was very helpful when I needed it, out of date literature. I have been using this product for several months and it works nice, very tight speed regulation without having to change settings. I would recommend this product for use on Ford Ranger trucks.

Nice aftermarket accessory
The unit came with several different pamphlets and instruction sheets, some of which conflicted on details (like where the VSS wire was located and whether to use the tach signal. Fortunately the technician on the customer service line was knowledgeable and excellent to work with. I had spent quite some time troubleshooting the unit when he mentioned that recently some had been shipped with the actuator cable not attached to the servo inside the unit. That fixed it. Who would have thought it would be shipped out with the sealed unit only partly assembled!
